Okay, so I returned from the cabin a couple days ago (one day earlier than planned). I kept a mini-journal of sorts on my zaurus, which I will update on this site soon. I just wanted to mention that, by Shirley’s grace, I now have a shiny new gmail account.

Today and Tomorrow

I went to Storyeum with Hana, today. For the most part, it was pretty good. It reminded me of a lot of history from high school I had forgotten. A couple segments were a little boring and contained no real information, but that’s to be expected. It is a little pricey, though. For a 70 minute walk-sit-walk-sit “museum show,” it’ll set you back $22cdn + tax. If you’re a history buff, then it may fail to satisfy. If seeing content obviously directed at a younger audience bothers you, then at least one segment (the last) will bother you. But I’m glad I went.
I will be going to our cabin in the Cariboo with my Mom and Hana. It’s been ages since I’ve last been, so I’m looking forward to it. I will get to see my old friend, Aaron, and hopefully go swimming in the lake! And let’s not forget about the box of juicy Okanagan peaches that we will pick up! Yum. It would be even better if the weather cooperates….

css update

I updated the CSS file, today. Got tired of recompiling the kernel, linuxwacom or xfree86 in an attempt to get my tablet to work. Why am I having so much trouble with this? Oi. Anyways, I like the updates I’ve made to the style sheet. yep.

And now, for more testing purposes, a nested list:

  • item 1
    • item a
    • item b
  • item 2
  • item 3

Moved. In a kinda-sorta-not-really way.

I’ll probably be doing most posts on my new(er) blog, which is still in testing phase.

– If you’re interested. If not, that’s okay too.

Blog ToDo’s

  • Fix Menu’s nested categories; font-size, border, etc
  • style links in content section to be more visible
  • Clean up the comments. give more space between each. Differentiate metadata from the content.
  • Change footer size & positioning to behave the same as the blog posts.
  • Should I make it IE-pretty, or just ignore it? I think this will just remain low on my priority list. 🙂

  • Not going to start until satisfied with CSS

IE is being troublesome

I’m pretty much ready with this style sheet, but IE is being a pain in the ass. I’ve tested it on Firefox (Mozilla), Opera, and IE. For some reason, IE thinks it’d be a good idea to add an extra line to my nested unordered list items. I have no idea why.

  • Category
    • Option1
    • IE adds   here.

    • Option2
    • IE adds   here.

    • Option3
    • IE adds   here.

As you can imagine, this screws up the menu in a big way. 🙁

I went swimming in the COLD OCEAN, today! Wow. Been a while
since I did that. Walked down to the beach with my brother, and even
tried out my underwater housing for my camera, for the first time in
Canada! 😀 Unfortunately, the water was very murky due to to the tide,
and we were surrounded by jelly fish. I swam into a couple jelly fish
by accident… interesting feeling: they kinda just slide right over
you. But the worst is grazing them with your feet when you’re treading
water. “That was a jelly fish…. right?”
