Okay, it’s more like OOwriter VS Abiword…<\/p>\n

This is a fairly accurate description of my usual document creation process:<\/p>\n

Round 1<\/strong>, FIGHT!<\/em><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. open Abiword, cuz it’s a lean, mean<\/strike> documenting machine.<\/li>\n
  2. start writing my document, saving in abw<\/code> (Abiword native format)<\/li>\n
  3. eventually, require a feature that Abiword does not support (more control of embedded images, for example)<\/li>\n
  4. *sigh*<\/li>\n
  5. open OOwriter<\/li>\n
  6. either\n
      \n
    1. save abw<\/code> file as rtf,<\/code> and open in OOwriter, OR<\/li>\n
    2. select all text in Abiword, copy, paste in OOwriter<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    3. finish document in OOwriter<\/li>\n
    4. use nifty one-click pdf export button<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      I should also note another recent displeasure I’ve had with Abiword…<\/p>\n

      When desperately trying to finish some documentation for a school project, it crashed. Panic set in. Okay, it must have an auto-recovery of some sort, right? It has an auto-save, but it was disabled – was that default?! After Googling for a while, I found something along the lines of “you’re outta luck.” …shit. Open OOwriter….<\/p>\n
