Sori, our Korean homestay student did the pumpkin of Sky (our cat) in the centre.  Maki, our Japanese homestay student, did the ghost pumpkin on the right.  Unfortunately, Maki&#8217;s already returned to Japan, so she doesn&#8217;t get to experience Halloween.  \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s some houses that go crazy with decorations on Halloween.  My mom likes to take students around to look at these houses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.stevenbrown.ca\/blog\/wordpress\/..\/files\/2007\/10\/img_7310.JPG?ssl=1\" title=\"haunted house\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.stevenbrown.ca\/blog\/wordpress\/..\/files\/2007\/10\/img_7310.thumbnail.JPG?resize=400%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" alt=\"haunted house\" class=\"imageframe imgaligncenter\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This haunted house is in Lynne Valley, North Vancouver.  They&#8217;ve been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.magicshow2go.com\/vancouvermagicians\/news\/vancouver-haunted-house-mansion-bc-magic\/\">doing it for years<\/a>.  It&#8217;s so elaborate, with animatronics and lights, you&#8217;d think you walked on to a movie set.  You can go walk through by (food) donation (<em>very<\/em> long lines) or you can just drive by, get out and stand and gawk.  That&#8217;s what we do.  Sorry for the poor quality of the photo&#8230; it was dusk, and raining, and my hand is not a tripod.  \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n<p>Oh, almost forgot my annual reminder: <strong>Do not go to Fright Night at the PNE<\/strong>.  It&#8217;s terrible (unless you find plywood and fences scary).  Save $20 and go to the <strong>Kyllo Manor<\/strong> mentioned above (1920 Casano Drive).
